Move your Daylio log into Obsidian
Daylio has no Markdown export. This page turns the backup into one note per day, named like 2026-03-04.md, with that day’s moods and activities in the front matter and each entry as its own section. Unzip the download into your vault. Obsidian’s Daily notes plugin names files YYYY-MM-DD by default, so these line up with it; point its folder setting at the unzipped folder if you want them treated as daily notes. The file stays in this tab.
Or drop it here. It stays in this tab.

Questions
Is my journal uploaded?
No. Your browser opens the file and builds the notes on the spot. The one thing the page sends out is a count: the tool’s name and whether it worked, with nothing from the file attached.
Which format are the notes?
YAML front matter with date, moods, tags and source: daylio. Then a heading per entry with the time and the mood, the note title in bold when there is one, the note, and the activities as inline #tags. Spaces in an activity name become hyphens so the tag works in Obsidian.
Can I import these back into Daylio?
No. This is one way. Keep the backup file; it is the only thing Daylio can restore from.
Why is there an app on this page?
This page is made by the people behind Life Pattern Journal, a journaling app that is not out yet. It logs a day in about twenty seconds and runs statistics over the log, on the phone. A waiting list appears under the download once a file is converted. The notes are yours whether you join or not.
